Emily's Profile
About Emily
Mind-Body Neuroscientist | Somatic Experiencing® Practitioner | Somatic Yoga Therapist
Emily works at the intersection of body-based therapy and neuroscience. Her approach combines Somatic Experiencing®, somatic yoga therapy, and applied neuroscience to support clients in reconnecting with their bodies, regulating the nervous system, and building resilience over time.
Her sessions are client-led, trauma-informed, and inclusive. People come to Emily for many different reasons — some are navigating chronic pain, fatigue, anxiety, trauma, or Functional Neurological Disorder; others simply want to feel more at ease, more present, or more at home in their bodies. All are welcome.
Emily holds an MSc in Psychology & Neuroscience of the Mind-Body Interface from King’s College London, where she also works as a Therapist-Researcher in the Neurological Affective and Dissociative Symptoms (NEUROADS) Lab. Her research focuses on somatic yoga as a therapeutic intervention for FND, with a first-authored study currently under peer review at BJPsych Open. This grounding in both research and practice allows her to bring current science into her clinical work in a way that remains accessible and embodied.
Her integrative method draws on over a decade of experience in trauma-informed somatic practice and yoga, alongside specialised training in applied neuroscience, neuro-biomechanics, and the psychology of movement.
