About Patsy
Patsy is a pilates teacher with a specialist interest in bone health and ageing. A lifetime as a health writer — and a master’s degree in Nutritional Medicine — has given Patsy a front-row seat to remarkable advances in health and wellbeing. But nothing has amazed her quite like the body’s ability to respond to the simple, restorative practice of Pilates.
Practising Pilates has helped Patsy improve her own strength, flexibility, and balance— while easing everyday aches and stiffness. A few years ago it played a key role in her recovery from serious illness. Inspired to share these benefits with others, Patsy trained as a Pilates teacher with Body Control Pilates, known worldwide for setting high standards in safe, effective
Pilates education.
Pilates for healthy bones
Build Strength · Boost Balance · Protect Your Bones
Patsy is certified in designing Pilates programmes specifically to support bone health and to retain strength and mobility whilst ageing. She explains;
"Pilates is for everybody — no matter your age, size, previous acitvity level, health, or anything else that might be holding you back. My aim is to tailor my classes to help you move more freely and feel strong, steady and restored — in body and mind.
We’re living longer than ever before — yet only now are we beginning to fully understand the vital role our bones and muscles play in lifelong health. Once viewed simply as the body’s framework, the musculoskeletal system is now recognised as part of a dynamic, interconnected network essential for healthy ageing.
Strengthening bones and muscles through movement helps build resilience from within — laying the foundation for a healthier future. This positive, energising class is designed to support your bone and muscle health and improve balance — helping you stay strong, steady, and confident throughout life."
