Monthly Sound Bath with Joa Saunders
Have You Experienced the Calming Bliss of a Therapeutic Sound Bath?...
Lay back and relax as the beautiful sounds and tones of gongs, singing bowls, rainsticks and other therapeutic percussion instruments wash over you, whilst you rest on a comfortable yoga mat with cushions and blankets. Therapeutic sound baths are proven to relax on a deeper level than other relaxation methods.
Sound bathing brings calm to the body and mind, helping brainwaves lower to levels similar to meditation, or those experienced just before you fall asleep. The sound can induce a state of deep relaxation, allowing the body to rest in a way that reduces cortisol (the stress hormone), lowers blood pressure and heart rate, rebalances potassium and sodium levels, and supports cellular regeneration - helping the autonomic nervous system to restore itself.
As you give yourself permission to let go, bathed in hypnotic sounds and soothed by vibration, your mind and body begin to release tension, regulate your nervous system, and open into a deep sense of inner connection and peace, where insights begin to arise.
Joa's Approach
Joa combines the soft, evocative tones of crystal bowls, shamanic drumming, gentle chimes and percussion, invoking the power of the gong to carry you inward - journeying through that dreamlike landscape between sleep and higher consciousness.
About Joa
Joa's journey with sound began in childhood, with a deep love of music that grew into a successful career spanning over two decades as a professional sound designer, creating work for the BBC, Channel 4, Discovery, theatre productions, and immersive sound experiences.
Alongside her work in sound, Joa has spent many years exploring meditation, healing, and spiritual practice. Drawn to sound healing as the meeting point of these passions, she trained in Hypnotherapy, IEMT, Reiki, Healing Dance, and Sacred Geometry. Today, she combines her extensive experience in sound and transformational practices to support healing, self-discovery, and a deeper connection to the wisdom within.
