Iona is a friendly, engaging and popular yoga teacher who combines her Midweek Reset Yoga for adults alongside vibrant yet mindful classes for under 5s and 5-11 year olds.
Midweek Reset Yoga - adult class
Give yourself an hour midweek to reset your mind and body as Iona guides you through asanas (yoga postures), pranayama (breath work), mudra (hand seals) and a few peaceful moments of meditation, with humour, humility and a smile on all our faces. Yoga for Under 5s
These lively sessions are designed around a story that will be familiar to all little ones; from classic fairy tales to Julia Donaldson. Mixed up with some moving meditation to child-friendly songs, bite-sized mindfulness and more.Iona believes that yoga offers subtle yet powerful tools that can help even small children nurture their inner light, develop emotional resilience, overcome stress, anxiety and other mental health issues, build confidence, develop coordination and motor skills, as well as keep fit and enjoy long term wellness. Her classes are also a lovely opportunity for grown-ups to share something special with their little ones and bond on a far deeper level.
Yoga for 5-11 year-olds
Yoga and mindfulness practices are powerful tools that can be introduced to children in a fun way from a young age, allowing them to better understand their bodies, explore their capabilities, enhance self confidence and take charge of their own emotions.
In these fun, empowering yoga classes, Iona responds to the energies her students bring to each session; nurturing a safe space where they can have fun with their bodies, reconnect with their breath, work together, burn off energy and enjoy some down time.
Children under 5 years old who attend primary school are also welcome, accompanied by an adult.
