Yana is a BACP registered, humanistic counsellor and a multi-talented bodyworker with many different qualifications and massage styles including specialist interests in women's health, fertility and digestive issues.

As a counsellor, she works in a body-centred way offering her clients the opportunity to use the expressive arts to explore and communicate issues, feelings and meanings beyond the traditional talking therapy approach.

I  offer counselling to children and young people incorporating a range of creative techniques such as art therapy, sand tray and play.

The use of creativity and play can give young people the freedom and confidence to express feelings, explore issues, and work through difficult experiences and anxieties. It wakes up their inner wisdom and resources that allows them to heal and find new and more empowered ways to be and grow.

I have experience supporting young clients with issues such as:

• bereavement,

• anxiety,

• depression,

• self-harm,

• eating disorders,

• gender identity

Massage therapy and bodywork

As a massage therapist and bodyworker, Yana brings over 18 years of rich experience that range from therapeutic treatments supporting specific health issues.

Her specialist services include: 

Abdominal-sacral massage - to help with digestive health including IBS and bloating both for male and female clients. 

Womens' health massage - specificially designed to be beneficial for fibroids, endometriosis, heavy periods and general female reproductive system support

Fertility massage, together with pre and post natal care

Where beneficial, she also offers her talking therapy clients the opportunity to have counselling alongside the abdominal work, as she explains:

"I believe this can be a powerful tool for women on their fertility journey, through pregnancy and beyond to gain a better understanding and connection to themselves and their feminine power.

Talking and creative expression can also be helpful when overcoming traumatic experiences that are connected to the womb (abuse, pregnancy loss, fibroids, child loss, irregular periods, infertility, endometriosis and other conditions linked to pelvic congestion).

Along side her massage work she is is a busy Doula and a fertility yoga teacher.

Her background is in theatre and she has been practicing various forms of bodywork, dance and meditation throughout her career including teaching yoga and meditation in the UK, France, India and Bulgaria.

Yana is also a Reiki master in Usui and Karuna Reiki healing systems and she has been offering attunements and Reiki Courses since 2004.

Yana is passionate about her work and deeply believes in the wisdom of the body and its wonderful self healing powers. She is a member of CTHA, fully insured and CRB checked.
