About Kirsty

Kirsty is a qualified Sports Therapist and Sports Massage practitioner with a BSc (Hons) Sports Therapy degree and Sports Massage qualifications. She creates tailored, personalised treatments for every client, drawing on her 20 years' experience as a manual therapist.

She uses a wide range of treatment modalities and approaches, and with a deep understanding of anatomy and mechanism of injury, Kirsty aims to resolve injury, pain and dysfunction by working effectively, intuitively, and in an informed, holistic way. With a strong focus on empowering others to understand and help themselves, treatments are supported by education and exercise prescription when helpful.

Sports, Stress and Everyday Wellbeing

While Kirsty specialises in sports massage and therapy, she also enjoys treating clients from non-sporting backgrounds, particularly those dealing with the stress and tension of busy lives. She understands the importance of self-care and the pressures of modern life, and the impact prolonged stress can have on our physical and mental wellbeing, including the risk of burnout. Much of her approach is rooted in nervous system regulation and advocating for taking time for yourself, blending treatments to be both remedial and relaxing - grounded in clinical knowldedge, but delivered with care and nurture.

Specialist areas include:

  • Pain, Injury and Dysfunction leading to acute or chronic pain

  • Shoulder and neck tension patterns

  • Scars and Scar Work Therapy

  • TMJ and craniofacial treatments

Treatment modalities include:

  • Sports massage

  • Manual Therapy – Soft Tissue Release / Trigger Point work / MET's

  • Joint and spinal mobilisation

  • Deep Tissue / Swedish / Holistic massage

  • Exercise and rehab prescription

  • Scar Work Therapy

  • Kinesiology Taping

  • Dry Needling

  • Sports cupping

Qualifications and Continued Development

Kirsty holds a number of postgraduate qualifications and is active in continuing her professional development. Completed CPD includes Yin Yoga, Scar Work Therapy, Kinesiology Taping, and Medical Acupuncture. She is particularly passionate about working with the jaw, head and face, as well as neck and shoulder dysfunction — often related to stress or poor posture.

Teaching and Education

Kirsty is also involved in the education of Sports Massage and Anatomy & Physiology. She previously held posts at London Met University and Brighton Met College, writing and delivering Sports Massage courses and Functional Anatomy modules. She currently works as a Tutor and Assessor with Sussex-based training providers of sports massage qualifications, sharing her knowledge and experience with learners.

Outside the Clinic

When she's not treating clients, Kirsty enjoys group exercise, yoga and running, and finds nature whenever she can. With kids and work, life is busy — but she always finds an excuse for a dance, even if it's just in the kitchen with her kids.
