Beth's Profile
Beth is a fully qualified Sports Therapist offering both Sports Massage and Sports Therapy appointments at Tree of Life. Following her PhD, Beth began her career in medical education before training as a personal trainer and completing a Master’s degree in Sports Therapy at London Metropolitan University. She takes an evidence-based approach to her work, always considering the body and mind as a whole. A key part of her practice is helping clients understand the connection between stress, pain, healing, and recovery. Beth is known for her warm, down-to-earth approach, bringing a real-world perspective to her work alongside her professional expertise.
Sports Therapy
Beth’s Sports Therapy appointments are tailored for those who have sustained injuries to peripheral joints and soft tissues (hips, knees, ankles, shoulders, elbows and wrists) - whether through sport, dance, or everyday activities. Her key goal is always to get you back to doing what you love.
Every new client begins with a thorough assessment, including a discussion of your medical history, an examination of the affected area, and an evaluation of your movement patterns. From there, Beth creates a personalised treatment plan that may include hands-on treatment such as myofascial release, sports massage, assisted stretching, and gentle joint mobilisation to relieve pain, improve mobility, and reduce the risk of future injury. She also prescribes tailored rehabilitation exercises to strengthen and reprogramme muscles, supporting long-term recovery and lasting results.
As Beth’s expertise lies in peripheral joint and limb-related conditions, for neck or back injuries we recommend osteopath Alex Marek, another member of our Tree of Life Sports Rehab team. Beth and Alex work collaberatively, so you can always feel confident you’re with the right specilaist for your condition.
Please note: When assessing an injury during a Sports Therapy appointment, Beth may need you to perform a few gentle but active movements, so please wear something you feel comfortable moving around in. Sports shorts and a vest top or tank top are popular choices.
Sports Massage
This specilaised form of massage appointments are ideal for anyone experiencing muscle aches, tightness, or general soreness. Beth’s treatments can relieve pain, increase mobility, and, for active individuals, help manage niggles and reduce the risk of injury.
