My integrated approach to healthcare combines structural, cranial and visceral osteopathy, naturopathy, nutrition and mind-body medicine to help and empower my patients along their journey back to health.
I particularly enjoy helping patients with complex, chronic or 'mystery' health problems, including those that have not been helped by other approaches - medical or complementary. Over my 17 years of clinical experience, I has developed a special interest and expertise in the following areas:
As a Mum of two wonderful boys, I also enjoy helping women navigate the physical and emotional highs and lows of pregnancy, birth and beyond.
I embrace a fully integrated approach to healthcare that utilises the best of all available systems, both medical and natural. I often communicate with my patients' GPs, and have always enjoyed and valued working in collaboration with the Tree of Life Centre's medical pracitioners. As Clinical Director of the Tree of Life Centre, I am always happy to chat with patients to help them decide which type of therapy is the right one for them.
In addition to my clinical work, I have lectured and tutored in Osteopathy to undergraduate students at BCOM, and currently run postgraduate training courses and one-to-one mentoring for other therapists. I have also worked as a conference producer and copy writer for the Health Service Journal and Nursing Times.
After many years of working in clinics in London, Brussels and Brighton, my husband Simon and I followed our dreams to create the Tree of Life Centre in 2012.

"Having worked with Gaynor over the last year I have both learnt a lot, and have found a better understanding of how my body serves me. She (...) uses her many different skills to treat me intuitively, always with respect and the highest intention. I am very grateful for the chance to be healed by such an authentic and inspiring therapist."

"Gaynor's hands seem to have eyes on them! She always understands exactly what's going on, and her treatments get straight into the areas where there's pain but in such a gentle, effective and relaxing way. I first came to see Gaynor with a hip problem that was causing mobility issues despite being in my thirties. It had led to knee and lower-back problems but Gaynor got me pain free and walking normally in three sessions! I was amazed because I'd been seeing a chiropractor for years. I have followed her advice on stretching and have come to see her for this and various other things since then. I can't recommend her highly enough - Gaynor is a very special practitioner and person. Thank you!" James, 34, Office Worker
"Not only does Gaynor work with physical trauma, but also the emotional ones that can propel pain to continue for longer periods of time; she not only sees what's on the outside, but what’s on the inside driving it.. Through Gaynors all-over approach, I have learned how to map out my own body, its functions and dysfunctions, and learned the self-healing skills I need to deal with them, and treat them myself. With Gaynor’s support and advice, in addition to her treatment, I learned how to use homeopathy, diet and exercise to help heal and put strength back in my physically and emotionally weakened body. If you want to change your life, or are ready to start the healing process and get back to a quality of life that you deserve (you only get one chance at it), then go and see Gaynor! " Lisa W, 30, Mum of 2
"I heard about cranial osteopathy through a friend, and after a bit of research I decided to take my son to see Gaynor. I had a long labour which ended up in forceps delivery. My son Findlay used to fuss after feeds and suffered with wind and what seemed to be digestive difficulties. He used to wake up crying and grunting and pulling his legs up all the time. Since having a few cranial sessions he is a different baby, smiling when he wakes and feeding well. He has such a connection to Gaynor and responds very well to her, which was so important. I would recommend this treatment to anyone who has had a traumatic labour and has noticed unusual behaviors in their new baby."
Carrie J, Mum to Finlay 4 months
“I first came to see Gaynor on recommendation from a friend, having been in pain in my right back and leg for over two years, in spite of having been medically diagnosed with a left-sided lumbar disc prolapse. I cannot begin to describe how lovely it was speaking with and being treated by Gaynor. She wanted a full and thorough background to all my problems and past experiences re my pain. She listened in such a knowledgeable and caring manner. She examined me thoroughly and helped me to feel, even in that first session, a lot less agitated and more positive and hopeful re my condition. Gaynor wrote to my doctor expressing her concerns at my diagnosis, as it didn’t make sense in view of my symptoms, and in response he asked the hospital to re-examine my MRI results. It turned out that my disc prolapse was after all on the right, not the left! Coming to see Gaynor at the calm, healing treatment room at tree of Life has made an enormous difference to my quality of life, physically and emotionally. I would sincerely recommend anyone to come to Tree of Life and experience Gaynor’s unique and wonderful osteopathic treatment.” Linda M, 74, Retired
"I saw Gaynor initially as I was almost a week past my due date and was interested in ‘speeding things up’. In treating me, Gaynor was able to also treat George whilst he was still in the womb. The birthing experience was quite traumatic and so a week later I took George for an evaluation and some cranial treatment. The results were amazing – after just the first session George seemed more relaxed and slept extremely well. I continued to see Gaynor regularly until we felt George was settled. I now have a very happy baby and would strongly recommend cranial treatments to any new mothers as it can help with all sorts of issues." Katie O, Mum to George, 3 months
"Health and happiness are our most precious assets, and the good news is that it's all in our own hands. Helping people overcome their health and wellbeing challenges - and learn how to stay well and happy - is my greatest motivation. I tarey, to enhance their structural, hormonal, nutritional and emotional health. I believe that treatment should be a nurturing and enjoyable experience, as well as delivering sustainable results."
