Katie started practicing Pilates in 2006, with the aim of toning her body, improving flexibility and relieving lower back ache. Pilates not only helped Katie achieve all this, it also gave her the confidence, strength and flexibility beyond she had ever thought possible. After attending weekly classes for two years, Katie decided to train to become a teacher and started the matwork certification course with Body Control Pilates in 2008.
Katie chose Body Control Pilates because it offered an unrivalled training program, ensuring their teachers have a real understanding of the Pilates method and a good grounding in anatomy and physiology. Each year, she attends training courses so that she can continue to develop skills and knowledge as a teacher and keep her classes diverse and interesting.
It’s important to Katie that her classes offer a warm and relaxed environment. With a maximum of just 10 people per session she’s able to spend time, making sure everyone is at ease and encouraged to achieve their personal goals. Her classes are dynamic, flowing, safe and well balanced. Expect to leave each session feeling rejuvenated, with a calm mind and strong and supple body.
