Jess started practising yoga over 14 years ago as a form of therapy after undergoing back surgery. She loves all types of yoga and values the physical and emotional health benefits the practise provides. Jess believes that everyone can obtain these benefits no matter what age, and this is why she is also a Yoga Instructor for children, teaching at primary schools in Sussex.
Formerly Jess lived in America as well as Vietnam before moving to Britain, where she has been for 12 years. Jess is a yoga teacher & author who has been practicing yoga since 1998. She has a long-standing passion for teaching yoga to children with extensive experience of running classes in the Brighton & Hove area at locations including the Tree of Life Centre , Brighton College Preparatory School, St Christopher's School, Lancing Preparatory School at Mowden and Cottismore Primary School, alongside being a regular at education conferences including running yoga sessions at NQG seminars for teachers and schools.
Her published books include Children Do Yoga and its follow-up Children Do Yoga 2 which guide children and teachers through yoga poses using animal and nature-inspired illustrations with clear instructions to follow. Both books and a set of yoga cards are included within the course materials for future use and inspiration.
Jess also holds teacher training course in Brighton as well as many other cities across Great Britain, for primary school teachers, those with adult yoga certifications or anyone who has a regular yoga practice and is interesting in becoming a children’s yoga teacher. Stretching in the early morning will allow you to have more energy for the rest of the day. If you’re a beginner or an intermediate, come along to Early Morning Yoga with Jess. The classes concentrate on warming the body up safely, focusing on strength, flexibility and balance. Each class aims to help nurture your self-belief along with gaining physical, emotional and mental awareness.
Offering a highly varied class in which yoga poses flow from one to another in co-ordination with the breath. Jess teaches an intermediate class for anyone with moderate (and above) levels of experience of practising yoga. The class offers students an exciting, dynamic practice that will help to build your core strength and offers a more cardiovascular yoga session,
